2018 Mother’s Day Instagram Contest Terms and Conditions

  1. No purchase necessary to enter the contest.
  2. This contest is open only to those who follow “StrongHeadedMom” (the “Promoter”) on Instagram and who are aged 18 years or over. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
  3. This contest will commence at 12:00PM EST on May 5th 2018 and all entries must be received by 11:59PM EST on May 19th 2018. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted or fail to reach the Promoter by the relevant closing date for any reason. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. Entries via agents or third parties are invalid.
  4. Entrants may submit as many entries as they wish but no entrant may win more than one prize.
  5. To enter, entrants must complete ALL of the following steps: (i) Follow “StrongHeadedMom” (the “Promoter”) on Instagram, and (ii) Post a photo to showcase your real mom moment(s) on Instagram, and (iii) Tag @strongheadedmom in the caption of the photo entry, and (iv) Include hashtag #MothersTellAll in the caption of the photo entry. Only entries opened to the public are automatically regarded as valid entries. Private account owners should contact the Promoter directly on Instagram if they want to participate.
  6. Throughout the contest, the general public can vote for their favorite entry by liking the photo entry on Instagram.
  7. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who has engaged in unlawful or improper conduct that is designed to jeopardize the fair conduct of the promotion or is generally damaging to the reputation of Strong Headed Mom, or has otherwise breached these conditions of entry (as determined in Promoter’s sole discretion). The Promoter may determine, in its sole discretion, if an entry is suitable and may disqualify any entrant who submits content it deems to be objectionable or offensive (even though such content might not be offensive to everyone).
  8. The Promoter will select one winner from the top 10 most liked valid entries on Instagram as of 11:59PM EST on May 19th 2018 and pick the final winner whose entry is the most creative/funny/sarcastic/real. If an entrant has submitted multiple entries, only their highest placed entry shall be considered. The winner will be selected by the Promoter in its sole discretion.
  9. The Promoter can cancel or modify the promotion if there are compelling technical or administrative reasons which we cannot control.  If that happens, the Promoter will select the winner from all eligible entries received at that time.
  10. The prize for the winner is one $20 Amazon online gift card, if there are less than 500 new valid entries for this contest. The prize will be upgraded to one $25 Amazon online gift card if there are 500 or more than 500 new valid entries, but less than 1,000 new valid entries for this contest. The prize will be upgraded to one $30 Amazon online gift card if there are 1,000 or more than 1,000 new valid entries, but less than 1,500 new valid entries for this contest. The prize will be upgraded to one $35 Amazon online gift card if there are 1,500 or more than 1,500 new valid entries, but less than 2,000 new valid entries for this contest. The prize will be upgraded to one $40 Amazon online gift card if there are 2,000 or more than 2,000 new valid entries, but less than 2,500 new valid entries for this contest. The prize will be upgraded to one $45 Amazon online gift card if there are 2,500 or more than 2,500 new valid entries, but less than 3,000 new valid entries for this contest. The prize will be upgraded to one $50 Amazon online gift card, if there are 3,000 or more than 3,000 new valid entries for this contest. The maximum value of the Amazon online gift card will be $50.

  11. The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.
  12. Prize is subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right (a) to substitute alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value and (b) in exceptional circumstances to amend or foreclose the promotion without notice. No correspondence will be entered into.
  13. The winner will be notified via Instagram post or direct message by May 28th 2018. The winner must claim the prize within 30 days of the Promoter’s announcement by providing the Promoter a valid email address to receive the Amazon online gift card. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these rules.
  14. By entering this contest each entrant confirms that his/her entry is their wholly-owned creation and, to the extent that such entry makes use of any third party materials, that these have been fully cleared unless they are no longer protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights.  Entrants will keep the Promoter harmless from any claims in relation to their entry that the entry infringes the personal or proprietary right of any other person.  By submitting an entry, each entrant grants to the Promoter a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to edit, publish, translate, modify, adapt, make available and distribute the entry throughout the world in any media now known or hereafter invented.  Each entrant undertakes to complete any necessary documentation to formalize the license. If you do not want to grant us these rights, please do not submit materials to us.
  15. Each entrant also confirms that anyone depicted in an entry has given their permission for the inclusion of their image in the entry and the use of the entry including their image by the entrant and the Promoter.
  16. To obtain details of the winner please email blog@strongheadedmom.comstating the name of the contest in the subject heading 4 weeks after the closing date.
  17. The Promoter will use any data submitted by entrants only for the purposes of running the contest, unless otherwise stated in the entry details. By entering this contest, all entrants consent to the use of their personal data by the Promoter for the purposes of the administration of this contest and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented.
  18. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Instagram or Facebook.  You acknowledge that all information and material that you submit to enter this Promotion is submitted to the Promoter and not Instagram or Facebook and you agree that Instagram or Facebook shall not be liable to you in any way in respect of this Promotion.
  19. The winners agree to take part in reasonable post event publicity and to the use of their names and photographs in such publicity.
  20. By entering the contest each entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. These conditions may change from time to time without notice.
  21. The Promoter reserves the right of final decision on the interpretation of these terms and conditions.
